Leather Care Kit

$15.00

The best way to preserve the life of your Paco Collar, or bring any old leather collar back to life is with leather conditioning, and this Skidmore’s cream is the best we’ve found over the years.

If your dog wears their Paco daily, there’s not much conditioning you’ll ever have to do. But here are some times when it comes in handy:

– when you have a new Paco Collar and a hairless/sensitive dog: run conditioner along edges and inside of collar every few days for the first two weeks until edges are broken in and buttery smooth.

– if your dog rolls in something nasty: after you wash your collar with a gentle soap (like dish soap), condition to restore moisture.

– if your dog is a daily ocean swimmer: every couple of weeks, let collar dry out fully and hit every part of collar with conditioner (the oil will help protect the rivets!)

– if you’ve had a collar in storage for years and want to bring it out of retirement: perfect time to restore shine with a quick polish!

A little bit goes a long way, use sparingly. We’ve been using a jar this size for several years… and that includes conditioning all the collars that get sent in or brought to us at shows! But absolutely an invaluable tool to keep in your back pocket.
