Paco Collars - Custom Leather Dog Collars

Want to score major brownie points this holiday season?  Then make your own gift!   Whether you’re a total leatherworking newbie or a hobby leathersmith wanting to tackle a more difficult project with guidance, this class is for you.

First, pick a project you’d like to tackle.  Below we’ve listed some ones that are suitable for beginners, but feel free to browse the Tandy site and pick something more complex if you feel up to the challenge. Let us know the Tandy item # of the kit you choose in the notes section during checkout. If you have your own tools, you can bring them.  If you don’t, then you can select the option for tools below and we’ll hook you up for a set (if you return the tools in good condition at the end of the class we will refund your tool cost… or you can keep them ;))

In the first class (Tues. Dec 13) we will teach you how to use your tools (or perfect your technique), and help you plan out your project.  During the next week, your homework will be to finish the tooling aspect of your project.  In the second session (Tues. Dec 20), you will color/dye/stain and complete the project.  You are welcome to use our supplies so there’s no need to invest in additional materials.

Cost of the class is $100 before the price of the project kit you choose from Tandy. Tools are $40 to buy, or a $40 deposit to rent.
